Our 2023 limited edition Christmas desserts are finally here!
The cake is decorated with vanilla shortbread in the shape of Christmas baubles.
A large ball stands proudly at the top, and a garland of small balls decorates the edge of this delicious cake.
All in soft pastel shades. We dream of peace and love at The French Cake Company, and we like to see life in pink!
Let's think outside the box, no traditional Yule log but a magnificent and delicious cake to impress your guests.
Remember to reserve your cake well in advance, quantities are limited.
The French Cake Company only delivers to Belgium. Click & collect from our workshop in 1440, Braine-le-Château.

Size:

Custom cakes are high cakes, each level is 10cm high unless specified (certain models and specific designs may require different heights).

The sizes of our cakes are as follows:

S   - 8 portions = 14cm diameter (10cm high)
M - 12 portions = 16cm diameter (10 cm high)
L  - 16 portions = 18cm diameter (10 cm high)

Next size is a two tier cake (total height 20cm)

2x  - 20 portions (total height 20cm) = 13cm diameter (10cm high) + 15cm diameter (10cm high)

Next size is a three tier cake (total height 30cm)
3x  - 40 portions (total height 30cm) = 12cmdiameter (10cm high) + 15cm diameter (10cm high) + 18cm diameter (10cm high)

GENERAL

All our products may contain traces of nuts, gluten, eggs, dairy products and sulphites.

If you would like to collect your order directly from our premises at no charge, please select “Click & Collect” during checkout, you may then collect your order on the date you have selected.

We will send you an Order Confirmation email two days before your selected collection date to confirm your order, pickup date, and time.  If your event is on a Sunday, you can collect your cake on Saturday and store in your fridge until Sunday with no issue.

This is the date you have selected when you ordered your cake, you will find this date in your order acknowledgement email and subsequent emails we send you before the date of collection.

We provide a paid delivery service for our products across Belgium in refrigerated vans, ensuring your products arrive in optimum condition.  You may select this service during checkout titled “Delivery – The French Cake Company”.  The cost is calculated on a per kilometer basis to the delivery address you entered during checkout.

 

After you have placed your order, we will send you an Order Confirmation email two days before the delivery date, to confirm the delivery date and time period, this is typically a 1 - 2 hour timeslot based on all the deliveries required on the day, so is unable to be changed.  We ask that you please ensure an adult is available to receive and sign for the delivery.

 

If your event is on a Sunday, you can have your cake delivered on Saturday, and store it in your refrigerator with no issue.

 

We do offer a paid delivery service to other countries in Europe on a case-by-case basis, please contact our Sales Representatives for further details via our contact us form, note this is typically for larger projects.

 

Non food based products purchased via our website are delivered in Belgium and Europe via BPost, please select the service you require during checkout.  If you do not see BPost as an option during checkout it is because it is not available for the products you have ordered.

Your cake should be stored in a refrigerator at +/- 5 deg C and removed from the fridge 3 hours before service.

We recommend you remove the cake from the refrigerator and leave at room temperature out of direct sunlight for a minimum 3 hours before service, this allows the cake to come up to room temperature, so the texture is soft, and the taste is best.

If you plan to present your cake with fireworks, please note the hot cinders from the fireworks may damage the decorations and the cake itself.  Please take care when using fireworks indoors or outdoors.

The Best Before date is indicated on the sticker at the back of the cake box.

Please note: certain decorations may contain foodsafe structural plastic or metal wire supports, please take care to remove these elements that contain the dowels and wires before serving, it is not recommended to give the decorations to young children as they may contain these elements.  If you have a multi-tiered cake, the lower tiers will have plastic supporting dowels to help maintain the structure, they need to be removed before serving.
